Hello everybody!
We have a few exciting calendar updates for you all:
Saturday, 7/20 - Urbanist Meetup @ Gemut Biergarten
Saturday, 7/27 - Strong Towns Columbus Neighborhood Walk - Weinland Park
Neighborhood Walk
Strong Towns Columbus will be hosting a neighborhood walk in Weinland Park the morning of July 27th. This walk will serve as the basis for a variety of improvement goals in the area, and is the start of the Strong Towns 4-Step process - identifying where people are struggling in the community. The walk will be hosted by long-time area resident Michael Wilkos, who has a wealth of knowledge regarding the history of the area.
Afterwards we will grab lunch at Budd Dairy Food Hall to discuss what we can do right now, on the ground in Weinland Park, to improve the neighborhood. Please review the info card below for additional details; also, please click to sign up
here so we can accurately estimate headcount (signup not required, but is encouraged).

Urbanist Meetup
We have been invited to join Columbus New Liberals and UrbanOhio.com for an urbanist meetup at Gemüt Biergarten on Saturday, July 20th. There is guaranteed to be some quality Columbus-centered discussion, as well as the optional German-style pint(s) for those interested (shameless plug - Gemut has some fantastic beer). This is a great opportunity to share ideas & meet new individuals invested in the future of our communities, so please join us if you are available!
To be clear, Strong Towns Columbus is a non-partisan group, and is not taking any political stance whatsoever by participating in this event - we are simply collaborating with groups who have an overlap with our goals, in whatever form that may take. So please, whatever your political leanings may be, do not hesitate to come discuss some topics we can all (largely) agree on.
As always, everyone is welcome at both of these events. We hope to see you there!
