Subject: Bring immediate neighbors closer together through intentional meetups right on their own block
To:

resources for a community building initiative available to your organization and your neighbors. It's called Kindness Close To Home from the Center for HumanKindness at The Columbus Foundation.

Community groups are encouraged to promote this to their residents as a simple way to bring immediate neighbors closer together through intentional meetups right on their own block. Why? Because communities with a stronger social fabric have been proven to be happier, healthier, safer and more resilient.

How can you get involved or support? Here's (3) simple ways:

1.       Share in your upcoming communications (via social media, in newsletter, and/or at your next meeting) -- sample text and promotional images attached

2.       Register yourself and/or encourage other residents to sign-up to host their immediate neighbors for a social gathering on your block/floor/building >>> registration link

o Hosts will receive a $25 Kroger gift card and a mailed toolkit (including door hanger invitations, name tags, sidewalk chalk, and more) after attending a virtual Neighboring 101 onboarding session

3.       If your neighborhood association is a nonprofit or can utilize a nonprofit fiscal agent, apply for up to a $1,000 grant for a larger community neighboring initiative >>> application link
