Happy Labor Day weekend everyone!
I wanted to reach out with a few Strong Towns Columbus updates.
Monthly Meeting – Wednesday 9/4 @ 6:30pm
To accommodate the TransitColumbus happy hour panel with city/COTA leadership this coming Tuesday (link here), we have moved our monthly meeting to Wednesday September 4th. This meeting will be at the usual spot - CML Northside Branch, Meeting Room 1. We will debrief on our sidewalk cleanup effort in Weinland Park, discuss the next tactical urbanism opportunity, and chat about a future neighborhood walk. After the meeting we will head over to The Village Idiot for a few drinks / social hour. Hope to see you all there!
Weinland Park Sidewalk Refresh #1
Thanks to everyone who came out for the refresh last weekend! We had a great time, and made a tangible improvement to a high traffic walking path in Weinland Park. We even received a few (positive) shoutouts from local passerby – primarily, that we are heroes 😊. Weinland Park Sidewalk Refresh #2 – Saturday 9/7 @ 10am
Right on the heels of our last sidewalk refresh is… another one! Join us at the corner of 7th & Summit in Weinland Park for a second refresh. Check out the link here for a Google Calendar invite, which also includes a photo of the target area, and a Google Sheets link for tool signup.
