Hey everyone!
Hope you all are having a pleasant week. We've got a couple things cooking for the month ahead, and wanted to share our key topics for the upcoming meeting. The April meeting will take place at the Northside Library on Tuesday April 1st, at 6:30pm. We will be located in Meeting Room 1.
Crash Analysis Studio
While we've gotten a great start on the technical aspects of a Crash Analysis Studio, we could use some help with a few remaining items. We are also going to plan a working session to evaluate the crash - essentially an "initial thoughts" for the studio to springboard off of.
ZoneIn Public Comments
ZoneIn is adding 161 / Northland to the zoning code update area, with the public comment deadline set for May 10th. Please join us to discuss these changes through a Strong Towns lens. Additionally, we will be taking a few minutes to make comments as part of the meeting, so please bring your laptop if you'd like to contribute! Every comment counts.
Strongest Town Award
Marion OH is in the final four of this year's Strongest Town Award! Go to
www.StrongestTown.com
to vote for our only 2024 Ohio contender!! Last year Maumee, OH (up near Toledo) won it all - so another small town from Ohio definitely has a shot.
Bench Builds
A few of our esteemed members have been making great strides in the bench building world. We now have concrete ends for a more robust bench option. Additionally, one member even put together some very detailed and helpful engineering drawings for an all-wood option - thanks John! Join us to discuss next steps in bench builds and potential deployment locations.
Afterwards, we will do our usual run to Village Idiot for a drink or two - for those who so choose. Hope to see you all on Tuesday!
