Strong Towns Columbus

Welcome to Strong Columbus!  This group is dedicated to discussing how the Strong Towns vision applies in the Central Ohio area. Please take a moment to review Strong Towns’ About page, and feel free to ask any questions you have here. No previous Strong Towns experience is required to join the conversation—only a willingness to learn. 

Posts in this forum should be relevant to the Strong Towns’ mission and/or the Central Ohio region. Posts that are too far off topic, overtly promotional, overtly partisan, or offensive in any way may be removed at the discretion of the group leader. 

The intended use for this forum is to communicate announcements and discuss big-picture issues of interest to the majority of the group.  If you are interested in more frequent back and forth discussions, please join us on our Strong Towns Columbus Slack channel! 

We meet on the first Tuesday of every month at the Northside (ie campus) library, at 6:30pm. Following the meeting, we head over to a local bar to continue our discussions in a more casual setting. Strong Towns Columbus leadership will ensure that there is at least one meetup opportunity per month, however any member of the group is welcome to propose a gathering at any time.  Please try to select times and locations that are accessible to as many members as possible, including people with disabilities and dietary restrictions.  If the meetup will occur at a business, please try to select a locally-owned and operated business.
