Happy New Year

my Apologies  for  a slow holiday response, but the interaction of
Google groups and my satellite internet provider continues to complicate
use of Google Groups for me, and prevents my from managing my own
group.   this time it prevented me from even responding.

I have seemed to have been able to re-register my email  so here goes.
maybe 2016 will me different.

thank you Ashley for keeping us in your heart and on your mind.  My
thoughts go out those of use that have had to deal with the difficulties
of getting older, both with ourselves, and with those close to us.  May
the new year be kinder to us all in that regard.

Wayne, I hope your hips are where they belong.....   even if the salmon
are not.    Bill   I need to thank you again for your help with
procuring the artist display screen this summer, and running them over
to me.  It is always good to have you guys over on the deck and making
some wood fired pizza.

May real sincere appreciation goes out to those of you who listen to my
pleas for some fish specimens, as my back and hips keep me from fishing
and getting my own, and it is real serious business for me now.
Creating fish prints and teaching Gyotaku is now the only possibility I
have to continue making house and vehicle payments, and it cannot be
done without the fish.

Hopefully, I will find some pain relief soon, but for now, you cannot
imagine how much your help means to me. I have been extremely grateful,
and will continue to be into the future.

Financial uncertainty has caused me to cancel the much hoped for June
Striperhead trip for this year, with fall  back to our traditional
September gathering, and a 2016 early trip.  I hope to have something
worked out by then.

Until then there is some more local fishing to be done, I have been
working up to more extended excursions with friends who do fish with me,
and I am so happy to be getting back on the water that I have been away
from for so long.

But enough about me.

May we all  Enjoy the Optimism  and  enthusiastic outlook for the new
year.  It has been said that the magic part of Fly fishing, or fishing
in general, is that it provides us with a never ending series of
opportunities for hope.

May  all facets of our lives do so in the year 2016 !
