I notice that some gaps related to `stringtemplate3` .
First I do not see the provenance for the source code.
https://pypi.org/project/stringtemplate3

It appears to be released with
# [The "BSD licence"]
# Copyright (c) 2003-2006 Terence Parr
# All rights reserved.

It appears to be written for python2, which is discontinued.
I would like to make a version for python3.
Could I (may I) make a github project for it and make the updates?
If so should I put it in my own github group or somewhere else?

Apparently the stringtemplate4 wrapper has stalled.
Is there an update?

hi! Sure, you are welcome to make a new project and make the updates :)   unfortunately I just don't have time to work on this project anymore.

I have made an updated version of the python version of stringtemplate3 found at https://pypi.org/project/stringtemplate3x/2023.11.1/
I had to change the name a bit `stringtemplate3` to `stringtemplate3x` as I do not have the key to make an update.

Question for Terence Parr.
When you say you "do not have time to work on this project" are you referring to `stringtemplate3` or `stringtemplate` generally?

I might be interested in working on a python3 version of `stringtemplate4` if I will have access to someone who can give me some guidance.

I meant that stringtemplate in general doesn't currently have my focus :(  a py-st4 version would be nice. maybe just create a repo and I can point at it from website and doc?
