Hi,

Current version is 3.3.1

Try upload this firmware. If it is not working try to get in touch with your reseller.

Bye,

Jochen

Hey,

I've been recently having issues with my Dual Strike not booting into PS3 mode properly in autodetect mode (home button didn't work). I finally got around to reflashing the firmware to 3.2.0 again, and tried setting the default boot mode to PS3. The stick still does not work on the PS3 correctly, and now all of the buttons are all messed up in the default ps3 mode.

To make matters far worse, it seems that none of the buttons to boot the stick into the various modes work correctly anymore. I can't get my computer to recognize it so that I can even redo the config file.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Hi,

The main chip on the board seems that it needs to be replaced. You can send it back to me and I'll fix it/ship it back out to you if you want.

However, depending on how your local scene is, I'd almost rather send you a Cerberus board to replace the TEasy Strike. Unfortunately it would require you to locate a modder to install it for you since they don't outright fit round 1/2 sticks (and they install slightly different anyway).

Let me know what you'd like to do and I'll get you taken care of.

You can contact me directly at cla...@phreakmods.com

I can't access the HIDBoot to upgrade the firmware. The buttons seem to be mapped strangely in the current messed up ps3 mode. Start does not do anything when connecting the TE to the computer, and currently left on the joystick is acting like MP (putting the TE into 360 TE mode).

None of the buttons or joystick directions seem to be Start currently though.

I haven't been able to figure out any way to fix the buttons, or connect the dual strike in order to fix the config or update the firmware.

Thanks.

This kind of errors occur when the wrong firmware is installed. Just for my information, did you install the SMD firmware?

Bye

Hey Kyle,

Hook up the stick to windows system and look at the game controller porperties. Start must be button 10 imho.

Took a look at the Cebereus. Looks great :) Congratulation :)

Did you see my newest project release?

Kyle,

Yeah if there's no way to deduce which button is START via this new and funky configuration (to force HID boot mode and reprogram) then a swap might just be required. Let me know if you can't get that figured out and done, I'd be happy to shoot a Cerberus your way so long as you have the means of getting it installed.

@Jochen - Thanks, and no I didn't see that. It looks awesome, nicely done!

Clayton is there anyway to get the board to go into HIDBoot mode if the buttons are wonky due to the situation described above? Or do I need to send you the board / install a cerberus instead. Outside of the home button not working (which prompted my initial fiddling with the config settings) the buttons weren't completely messed up. I'd love to try to fix it if possible but if that isn't doable I'll look into what's required to getting the Cerberus board working and let you know what I'm thinking regarding the exchange.

Thanks for all the help.

If you happen to have another xbox360 pad, then plug it into your pc and notice which button is activate pressing start.

Then force your TE in 360 mode and try to figure out the noticed start button...

;) thx, too

Start is the same for the normal and SMD firmware, thus if going to Firmware Update mode by pressing Start doesn't work, your TEasy Strike is most probably defective.

Best regards,
Michael
