I wonder how many of you remember the situation during the game when
the other team's pitcher was having problems keeping at least one foot
on or directly behind the pitching strip when releasing the ball.
During the game the umpire gave him a warning the first time. Then
during the same at bat- the umpire called the pitcher
out for the infraction again. Our player should have been awarded a
base and the umpire incorrectly awarded our player a ball (a rather
meaningless penalty).
I guess we could all benefit from at least reading the rules so we can
avoid any errors that could affect the outcome in a close game.
