plotting rivers

Hi all,

I'd appreciate if any of you could suggest me a package to plot maps that include rivers. I am using Geosphere to plot maps and it is great, but I still need to include rivers bodies. A dataset with rivers and their georeferences would also be useful.

Hi Carlos (and group),

There is the package "sp" along with "trellis" that can be used. See http://r-spatial.sourceforge.net/gallery/#fig04.R. The dataset meuse.riv in the example holds the georeferences for the river (in this case just x,y map coordinates).
