For your long-range consideration: The Jeremiah Bishop Fondo on October 6th.

There are enough different routes that I figure I could tackle the cupcake ride (35 miles, 2K climbing) while the rest of you did the full (or glass half-full) fondo and we'd start and finish at the same time. Could look into renting a house the night before in Harrisonburg. I do like this ride.

Eh? Mebbe?

REGISTRATION OPENS TODAY at 10AM

The 2024 Alpine Loop Gran Fondo is October 6, in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

The adventure is about to begin! Registration opens today at 10AM with discounts for the first 200 entrants.

It's a joy to welcome you to the event and share the season anticipating and preparing for the challenge of the Alpine Loop Gran Fondo.

NEW for 2024, the Alpine Loop Gran Fondo is a Gran Fondo National Series partner event. Riders participating in the GRAN, MEDIO, and PICCOLO routes can earn Gran Fondo National Series points. The event also serves as a qualifier for the 2025 Gran Fondo National Championship. We're excited to add these new elements to the classic adventure.

Cancer Journeys Foundation will host King and Queen of the Mountains, Couples Conquer the Mountain, and Sprint competitions; awarding jerseys to 5-year age group winners. 2024 timing segments will be published in late-spring.

We look forward to sharing a great adventure!

Alas, we'll be at a wedding in Hawaii then.  The Gran Hulo, maybe.

Heh dudes - I'd be interested!  The Medio looks like a cool ride (and plenty).

Tim,

Who is on this googlegroup? I never know who has to be copied separately.

I'm about to sign up for the Bishop Fondo. I plan to do the cheesepuff ride (Valley View, 35 miles, 2500'). Rob is also in, planning to do the mild-cheddar ride (Mt. Solon metric century, 63 miles, 3500'). I figure we'll finish about the same time.

Anyone else? The big cheese ride is a great one. Let me know soon and I'll look into an AirBnB for Saturday night, the 5th.

Tim, Eric? Any chance you'll be in town the first weekend in October?

Gregg

Haven't seen y'all in years, but I'm in for the Mt. Solon Metric. Now to find where my bicycle went.
