Howdy, I'm attempting to install Google Stress App 1.0.6 in ARM (aarch64) versions of opensuse and ubuntu, simulated in Foundation Models.  Running ./configure results in an error "configure: error: cannot guess build type; you must specify one".  First off, is there an expectation that Google Stress App would install and function in an ARM OS?  If so, any tips on making the appropriate changes to the installation environment?

Thank you,
Benjamin

It definitely works on arm (target=armv7a), however I haven't ever tried aarch64. You can edit configure.ac to recognize aarch64 and it may just work. Give it a shot and if it does send me a patch.

Thanks,

The top of tree (1.0.7) stressapptest allows building on unrecognized systems. So it should configure and try to build on aarch64.

Thanks Nick, I see you updated the installation instructions.  stressapptest didn't show up in apt-get on ARM ubuntu 13.10 or in zypper on ARM openSUSE 12.3- FYI

I was able to perform the installation after using subversion to pull down the latest source tree and install with "./configure --build=arm-linux-gnueabi" on ARM ubuntu 13.10.

Thanks again!

Ben
