August Hang Session: KIPDA at Gravely

Hello!
Just sending out a quick note to invite you to this month’s Hang Session. It will be next Tuesday, August 9 at 8:00p at Gravely. 

We’re inviting the folks form KIPDA to chat with us about their regional planning efforts. We'll be talking a bit about how different municipalities in the region use federal funds to achieve their local priorities. I for one am interested in better understanding why Southern Indiana towns have proven so adept at trail building and streetscape projects. Are these kinds of projects simply political priorities for those local governments? Or, does Indiana as a state have funding structures in place that incentivize this kind of building? Or is it some combination of both?

I hope you’ll come out and be a part of the conversation. Everyone’s welcome — New Albanians, St. Matthewites, Jeffersontonians, Jeffersonvillians, and Louisvillians, especially!
