Good evening, folks.
My personal theory on our Streets for People advocacy efforts is that, in every neighborhood across the city, residents are trying to figure out how to slow cars down on residential streets and make it feel a little bit safer, a little bit easier to get to around on foot. With that in mind, I'd love to spend our last Hang Session of the year learning about and celebrating some of the neighborhood efforts in the Greater Highlands area.
Tyler Park residents are pushing for better connectivity into the park at Edenside Ave. Douglass residents have plans to build better walking paths to Cherokee Park. Cherokee Triangle, Original Highlands, Belknap, every neighborhood is working on something. And of course, we're continuing to push for a traffic calming, improved walkability solution for Norris Pl and Douglass Blvd.
I'm hoping we can get together, share info, and all feel a little bit inspired about some of the smaller, good stuff that's happening in the Highlands.
Hope to see you there!
Best,
Chris
