Good Evening!
Quick note to let everyone know that we'll be having our May meet-up this upcoming Wednesday, May 17 at 8:00pm at the Canary Club in Shelby Park

On April 27, Mayor Greenberg shared his proposed FY23-24 budget for Metro Government. We'll be talking about what's in it (and what's not) for street safety projects.

A couple other items of note:
1) Metro and KYTC are hosting a meeting on May 25 at 6:00pm at the Shelby Park Community Center to review plans for the Logan/Shelby Street two-way conversion project. (Details here.) Come on out!
2) We'd love to hear about what advocacy priorities you're interested in. We made a quick survey and it's just three short questions. Please let us know what you think: https://tinyurl.com/2023s4psurvey

Looking forward to seeing everyone next Wednesday in Shelby Park!

Best,
Chris

Thanks to everyone who made it out last night. I wanted to follow-up quickly on our budget chat with a few resources.

On the Metro side of things…

On the KYTC side of things…

If you’re curious about how KIPDA fits into all this, here’s a little explainer I wrote on what KIPDA is and how it works: https://www.streetsforpeople.org/resources/kipda-reference-guide/

Lastly, as mentioned last night, here is our 2023 Streets for People Advocacy Survey: https://tinyurl.com/2023s4p

We’d love your feedback, to know what projects and policies are important to you!!

Best,

Chris
