Hi Folks-
I just wanted to send you all a quick invite to our monthly meet-up scheduled for Thursday, May 30 at 7:30pm. We'll be discussing the future viability of transit service here in Louisville -- specifically, TARC's network redesign process and the fiscal cliff that it's facing.

Full details below...hope to see you there!
-Chris

=========
TARC is at an inflection point.

This winter, the transit agency hired Jarrett Walker + Associates, one of the nation’s preeminent transit consulting firms, to launch its TARC 2025 Network Redesign effort. Then, about a month later, TARC publicly declared itself in the midst of a financial crisis. With COVID relief funds winding down and the TARC budget showing a $30 million gap in funding, the TARC Board of Directors voted to scale back service during the network redesign process.

Please join us on Thursday, May 30 at Ten20 Brewery in Butchertown to discuss the challenges and changes coming to TARC. We will be joined by TARC’s Alex Posorske, who will discuss the timeline and opportunities of the redesign effort — as well as the practical realities of TARC’s fiscal cliff and service cuts.

The event will begin at 7:30pm, with the presentation starting at 8:00pm, followed by a Q&A session.

Details:
Title: TARC: Network Redesign + Fiscal Cliff
Guest: Alex Posorske, TARC Marketing and Communications Director
Location: TEN20 Craft Brewery Butchertown 1020 E Washington St Louisville, KY 40206
