Streeme was showing that a lot of my music was tagged with genres that
I didn't use in iTunes, i.e., under the genre "pop" is Paul
Westerberg, Sonny Lester, The Zombies, etc. So i went through and re-
tagged all of these songs using iTunes on mac and MP3Tag AND the WMP11
tagger on Windows XP. Then I re-scanned in Streeme. The genres are
still associated somehow and the same songs are still under "Pop" but
I cannot see where the association happening...

Right now it seems genres are not being reset when scanning again. you
can just reset the database

and do another scan until the bug is fixed for good. Another thing is
that there are a number of preloaded genre tags to support old ID3V1
tags that aren't necessarily used - in id3v1, the genre is a number
not a text label. The relationship between song and genre is made at
scan time.
