I just tried the iTunes scanner (becuase I have many m4a's) but I get
0 files added. Does the Streeme iTunes scanner use the music paths
embedded in the XML file? The issue I am having is that the iTunes
XML is generated on a laptop locally but the media is stored on a
server. The XML file is then copied to the server as a backup -
Streeme then looks at this backup file on the server, but the absolute
music paths in the XML do not work becuase from the laptop the music
is on "fileserver://data/music..." where as the server needs to see
the music in "D:\data\music..." (it has to do be done this way becase
storing the main library XLS on the server is way too slow for iTunes
to function, a local XML works really well). Thanks.

Right now, Streeme only accepts MP3 and OGG files. I'm working on
making more converters and supporting more filetypes, but for now, you
can click convert to mp3 in iTunes and those will scan as expected.
Streeme uses the Location tag in the XML file for paths, there is a
secondary stage that tries to determine if the file still exists and
if it's a compatible file type. You shouldn't move the iTunes XML file
around if possible. iTunes writes to it when you add new music. If you
need different paths than iTunes provides, you should use the
filesystem scanner.
