How to get recipients count before sending the blast?

We want to know how many people will receive the blast before sending it.

Is there a way?

Ideal would be to do API call with list of Mailing Lists and Filters, and expect quantity of members eligible.

If not...

Is there a way to get the count on scheduled (not sent yet) blast?
