overriding the listing form.

i was wondering if there was a way to override the listing form for a
model..

here's what i am looking to do:

in the list, there are several fields that might be easier to just
edit in the list view.. booleans (checkboxes?), string fields, etc..

it would be really nice if the user could just edit them on the list
view..

also..

is the documentation server down for good? is there an alternate
source for documentation?
