Hi,
looking the documentation doesn't seem to be an option for let join the user to a private club.
The "Join a club" function looks very similiar, but I did aspect an option like "secret invitation code" for let people join to a private club.
In alternative i would like to have a chance for invite user to my (private) club.

Any suggestion?
Many thanks

Looking for something similar here.  We'd like to automate invitations to a private club - once a member joins through our website we'd like to invoke the equivalent of the private club's admin "Invite User" button given the email info we've captured from the user.  In this way we can change our club to private so our admin doesn' t have to keep monitoring users that are obviously not part of the club and show up on (to our real member's dismay) on the leaderboard.

Another alternative would be to have Strava's app support "Block" in addition to delete, for club admins.

Would the current join club API stuff support this? (i.e. allow a member to be added to a private club without involvement of the club's admin(s)) ?

Brad - Unfortunately the API does not yet support joins to a private club. We will add it to our development backlog - it's a good feature to add.

Thanks,

Chris

Thanks for your reply Chris.

Actually I'm ok with the private group model as you have it, it's the public model that I feel would benefit by having the ability for the admin to both delete a user as well as delete/block.   You support user deletion by the admin(s) of a public group, but there is nothing from preventing the same user from rejoining the group.

The objective of the addition above would be to enable groups to "block" non-members whom are appear to be joining hundreds of groups (here by view of their profile) so that they can dominate the group's leaderboard.    Guess these folks, whom have nothing to do with our group, just like seeing their "name in lights".
