Strava user experience in China

Hi all,

I have a request from a China-based client to integrate Strava API to their app, while the API integration seems well-documented and quite straightforward (and hopefully I wouldn't encounter too many issues with the integration itself), I was wondering if there is any downside of using Strava as a user in China, due to the Chinese government firewall etc.

Has anyone had any experience with this, and can shed any light?

I know that Garmin, for example, separate their API integration for China-based users and the rest of the world, which means that Garmin China users won't be able to sync their data with Strava (I believe). Is anyone aware that there is such issue for the other integrated wearable brands as well?
