Strava Export of FIT File (and Garmin Connect)

Hi all, got a few quick questions about Strava:

1. Can Strava export a FIT file?
2. Can the Strava API export data to a 3rd party application without needing action by the user?  (I'm most interested in FIT files but any data might do.)
3. When Strava syncs with GarminConnect does it receive the FIT file and nothing else?
