Access club members and their activities

Hello,

We need to integrated Strava with our Microsoft ERP. 

For that I require access to club members details and their activities such as total km they ran. I tries the below URL in postman but the response I am getting does not seem to have any unique identifier.

You can't. This data is not available in clubs. 

You can try matching users to club activities by distance, elevation gain, etc., but those users will still need to individually authorize themselves for you to retrieve their activities.

Hello Daniel,

Thanks for your reply. 

Can you suggest what would be the best way to get all members activities and integrate into our ERP?  there are more than 350 members, for each of them if they individually authorize still I have to create new tokens for all which is a long process. We actually just want the distance each athlete ran so that we can credit them redeem points accordingly.

With Strava the only way to retrieve someone's activities is to have them authorize an app via an OAuth workflow. I am quite confident that there's no other way - you will have to build something that asks users to click a button, and authorize your app .

HI -- I did something like this recently using, but Daniel is right. Still take a look at


The huge drawback is that you can only get recent activities -- if you call it every day you get new ones,  but you have to figure out which those are by comparing to a snapshot from the previous day. There is not date on the activity.  The activities  from this api also do not have a  unique ID, so you have to build one using the details of the activity. The Name is also only First Name plus first letter of last name. What you right will probably be kind of crappy, but who know it could work.

I ended up just asking everyone to auth the app. This gives you full access to their activity details at whatever level the athlete authorized. This is easy to implement an easy for your athletes to  sign up to.

I guess you could also scrape the club leaderboard page and go that route

I've been working on Taurus and with Gatling all summer, and I have had some great success with the two, but in recent weeks (primarily the last 2, maybe 3) I have been having continuous problems.  Just in case, because I don't know where the best place to go with this issue, I am posting this to the Gatling group questions too.

Anyways, here is my issue.  I am designing a test to measure capabilities of my company's API.  After many weeks of working to get this test together, with all of the functions included, I have finally gotten the running version (not accurately running, but it still compiles none the less) to run through.

As I was going back to work on some of these functions that were not producing the results I was looking for, I hit a roadblock.  I decided to work on the automation part of my project, by working on integrating my test with Taurus.  Unfortunately, Taurus won't even run the test.  I've had Taurus running this test before I included all of the new functions, but now it only starts to compile before it crashes saying my gatling.conf is not up to date.  I have Gatling version 2.2.5, and it appears that the conf file is accurate.  I am also aware that Taurus suggests using the earlier version of Gatling, but I have been working with this version of Gatling all summer, and would rather keep up this consistency.  In my research I have seen that sometimes the issue is a second conf file somewhere that is confusing the program, so I searched, and I did find one.  I found the one that Taurus installs in its default location, but I also set up the path in my YAML file to look at a different default location that I have my version of Gatling installed in.  Still the same issue, I tried a few things with the YAML files, thinking maybe I was incorrect with my syntax or set up, but none of those worked.  Taurus has also seemed to affect my Gatling test from running alone in Gatling, but for the most part, I figured that was an issue with Gatling, since it won't run on its own.
Below is my YAML code for this test.  If anything else is needed, please let me know and I will get it up here as soon as possible.

Our  DMT carts come filled with 250mg, 500mg with 1ml,5ml of N, N-Dimethyltryptamine (DMT), which is sufficient for about 8 to 12 breakthrough experiences 30mg to 70mg. Our DMT is extracted from Brazilian Mimosa Hostilis root bark and re-crystallized twice for purity. Flavoring has also been added for an ultimate smooth inhale. This method is safer and more convenient than using large or tricky apparatuses that require lighter which destroy DMT if touched by the flame. It also allows you to regulate your experience with each pull. Our DMT does not contain any vitamin e acetate.


DOSAGE GUIDELINES: 4mg DMT per 3 seconds pull

Light: 1-5 pulls 4 – 20 mg
