I am assembling a list of contributors to the current release. The list will be posted with the release announcement.

Here is what I have collected. Please let me know if I miss something, attributed something wrong, or spelled a name incorrectly ;-)

Cool!

I would suggest to just put the names in alphabetical order (without details about the contribution).
I think it is common for open source projects to either list the individual issues with the name or just a list of names.
