I'm considering making a change so that for a player's first 10 games,
they don't need to worry about supply. Can anyone think of a reason
why I shouldn't do this?
One consequence that immediately comes to mind is that their patrol
boats will become really annoying--they'd stick to your xports and
keep shooting every square you move...
There's also the possibility of abuse--where new players would keep
creating new accounts for the advantage, but I'm not overly worried
about that--I can just exclude players from the leaderboard until they
have played 10 games...
thoughts?

I suggest that part of what they need to learn is how to handle
supply, so this might not be the best approach. Rather, how about
giving much looser supply rules -- double or tripple the distance for
the first 10 games.... Just thinking.
