Introduction:

Strategic Youth Network for Development (SYND) is a duly registered youth-oriented non-governmental organization in Ghana which focuses primarily on contributing to ensuring good governance in the natural resources and environment sector through active youth inclusion or partnership with relevant stakeholders such as government, private sector, civil society and media. Our operational work involves actively participating in policy and community level advocacies which including tracking and contributing to the development and/or implementation of policies, laws, programmes and projects from a youth perspective. Our thematic areas of work are Climate Change, Biological Diversity (Biodiversity), Forestry and Energy Access.

 

We are currently recruiting young people as volunteers to join our team. We need young people who are looking for an opportunity to influence environmental policies and programmes and make a difference with their knowledge, skills, resources and time in contributing to the achievement of environmental sustainability.

Your key responsibilities as a Volunteer include:

 

​1. ​
Investing your ideas, skills and/or finances in promoting the work of the organization.

​2. ​
Actively participating in the planning and implementation of activities.

​3. ​
Helping in publicizing the work of the organization

 

While this is purely a VOLUNTARY ROLE, we do offer the following benefits:

Opportunities for attending training, workshops, and meetings;

​2. ​
Representing the organization at meetings with relevant stakeholders such as government agencies, private sector, civil society organisations and the media;

​3. ​
Networking opportunities leading to significant and purposeful impact in your community and the world as a whole;

A role with varied scope of tasks and the challenge to increase your knowledge, skills and professional capabilities for employment opportunities;

Access to reference, testimonials and/or recommendation letters if need be;
