Ghanaian Women’s Social Leadership Program
New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, Fundacion Mujeres for Africa and Banco Santander are pleased to invite mid-career women from civil society organizations in Ghana, to apply to be part of the Ghanaian Women’s Social
Leadership Program' (GWSLP) 4th cohort.
In 2019, the GWSLP will select 8 women who demonstrate a commitment to further their leadership skills and join a committed group of GWSLP alumni to support women's leadership and transformational change in Ghana.
The GWSLP offers participants the following opportunities:
- Two, week-long intensive leadership institutes, one in Ghana and one in New York City facilitated by experienced leadership development academics and practitioners
- Hands-on, interactive workshops and site visits that offer opportunities for reflection, peer learning, team building, and networking
- Opportunity to design and implement an action learning project (ALP) to tackle a critical community or organizational need
- Expert coaching through the duration of the program and during the execution of the action learning project
- Opportunity to join a network of dynamic women leaders in Ghanaian civil society who are contributing to strength leadership and social sector organizations in Ghana.
All program training, lodging and travel expenses, are covered by the program.
Applications for the 2019 GWSLP are available online from
November 5th 2018– February 3rd 2019. Finalist will receive decision notifications by the
end of February 2019. Applications will
be reviewed as they are received.
