Dear Rahul,

As discussed, approved to go ahead for :

1. Borewell 2 to be repaired currently followed by Borewell 1 and 4 servicing.

The need for procuring 5 hp submersible pump can be looked into at a later point of time considering cost and also usability.

Respected Abhimanyu Sir,
For your kind information, as per the work order, the lifting of Borewell 2 (SL No: STR/BW/02) has been completed.
After inspection, it has been observed that both the borewell pump and motor require servicing. However, the primary concern lies with the borewell itself. As the borewell is approximately 15–16 years old, during compressor backwash it was observed that the water yield has significantly reduced.
Due to this limitation, installing a 12.5 HP pump is not advisable. The maximum suitable capacity for this borewell is a 5 HP pump. Installing a higher-capacity pump may lead to dry running and will not be sustainable for long-term operation.
Additionally, the estimated cost for servicing the existing pump and motor is around ₹10,000–₹15,000, which is comparable to the cost of a new 5 HP pump.
It is also important to note that Borewell No. 1 and Borewell No. 4 are both facing similar issues of reduced water yield.
Please find the attached photographs of the existing borewell pump for your reference. Kindly feel free to contact me for any further clarification or queries.
Thanks and Regards,

Respected Avik Sir/ Nimisha Madam,
Please find attached the revised quotation from Vishnu Infracon for servicing of 2 nos. of borewells, along with detailed scope of work.
Kindly note that our borewells are fitted with 3" GI pipes, which is not a standard configuration. Due to this, the vendor has increased the price by ₹700 per pump. Accordingly, the total quotation value now stands at ₹51,600. Despite this revision, Vishnu Infracon remains the L1 vendor, as they are also including additional services such as backwashing and acid cleaning within the quoted amount.
We request your kind approval to proceed with the above.
Please feel free to reach out in case of any queries. Needs your approval on this.

Respected Abhimanyu Sir,
As per our previous discussion, two of our borewell pumps are not functioning properly. The observed issues and possible causes based on visual inspection are detailed below:
Borewell 1
SL No.: STR/BW/01
Location: In front of Elderberry Block
Possible Problem: For a considerable period, the borewell has been supplying less water than before. The water pressure is also significantly low.
Possible Cause: Choking of filters, Damage to the outgoing GI water supply pipe, Leakage from pipe joints
Proposed Rectification: Proper backwashing of filters and pipelines, Inspection and repair/replacement of any damaged or leaking pipes
Borewell 2
SL No.: STR/BW/02
Location: In front of Swan Block
Possible Problem: Over the past few days, the pump has been tripping intermittently. We have already addressed external factors such as cable rectification, replacement of rusted/damaged sockets and connectors, and MCB replacement. However, the issue persists. The pump is drawing higher current than usual and trips within a few minutes of operation.
Possible Cause: Improper pump alignment, Faulty motor winding (may require rewinding), Internal cable fault
Proposed Rectification: Detailed inspection of cables, pump, and motor, Complete servicing and necessary repairs
Remarks: The above causes and rectification plans are based on preliminary observations. The exact issue and required corrective actions can only be confirmed after pulling out the borewell pumps and conducting a thorough inspection.
I will be sharing servicing cost estimates along with quotations from three vendors shortly.
Please look into this matter on a urgent basis as the summer is already there, And we need all the four borewell services with full efficiency.
Thanks and Regards,
