Dear Sir,
As per our records, we paid ₹295,800 last year due to the expiry of all elevator licences, which resulted in additional penalties.
This year, if the licence renewal process is completed on time, we can avoid such penalties and save the fine amount for at least 14 elevators.

Hi,
Last year we did renewals for all the lifts (55 + 4) for the last 5Yrs and the amount was ₹295,800.
This year i can see the quotation amount given for renewal
Rama ghosh -215000 /-
SM elevators -209100/-
Not sure for how many years we are renewing ? and to me the above amount should not be for 1yr rental fee. Am I missing something, Kindly clarify.

Lift liscences are renewed for 1 year . Last time most of the lifts liscences were found expired during 2021 and 2022 and hence some penalty was added. I am forwarding the zip file of all lift liscence validity to the group in a separate email.

Dear Sir,
For your kind information, during the previous renewal, payment was made to cover a total period of five years, which included four years of backlog and one years of renewal.
The lifts remained non-compliant from March 2021 to May 2025, and an additional penalty of ₹70,000 was paid to clear the backlog. Therefore, the payment was not solely for a fresh five-year renewal; it was primarily to regularize the accumulated pending period.
As per the current regulations, the following documents are required for a five-year renewal:
- Renewal Form (Form IX), signed by the lift owner and countersigned by the registered lift maintenance firm with seal.
- A valid AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) with a licensed Erector or Maintenance Agency covering the requested renewal period.
- Original or digital copy of the current lift owner's license.
All lifts currently have valid licenses. As per the requirements, the renewal application can only be processed through the AMC vendor.
The renewal cost is an additional ₹1,000 per lift. Only GOVT fees

So we are renewing for next 1 year.
My question is if for the last 5 years renewal with penalty(Rs 70,000) cost around Rs 295,800/- , How come renewal for 1year costs Rs 209100/- by L1 vendor ?

This is to inform you that we have renewed the lift license for the next three years. The renewed license validity starts from the day immediately following the previous license expiry date, irrespective of the actual renewal date.
For example, if the license expiry date was 20.03.2026 and the renewal was completed on 22.06.2026, the renewed license will be valid from 21.03.2026 onwards for the next three years.

Ok, So the renewal is for the next 3 years.
Observation :
Last year Service Charge(Processing fee) was Rs 700/- per lift. This time it's Rs 900/-. If possible do some negotiation, as we are renewing for 59 lifts.
