Little Timmy went to his first big dance last night (I assume). He had a date with the prettiest girl in school, Harriet!
Timmy thought it would be simple. He’d meet Harriet at the dance. They’d dance, they’d flirt, they’d spend time with their friends, then maybe they would kiss and Harriet would go home. Little did he know what Harriet had in store for him.
When he showed up at the dance, Harriet was waiting for him. She had on a pretty blue dress and her hair was pulled back behind her ears. Harriet has cute ears. They danced for a little while to some stupid radio song. But then a strange thing happened.
Harriet whispered something into Timmy’s ear, and he turned away to blush. Over by the door he spotted a small black dog with one white paw. “Harriet, look at the cute little dog!” he said, trying to win some points, girls love cute dogs.
But as soon as the words came out of Timmy’s mouth, Harriet’s face completely dropped for a split second, and then turned to steel. “Let’s go.” She said, pulling on Timmy’s hand, running in the opposite direction from the dog.
As soon as the dog was out of site, Harriet told Timmy he needed to go home. But Timmy explained that if Harriet was in trouble, he wanted to help her. Exasperated, Harriet sighed and handed Timmy a flashlight. She explained to him that they were looking for a small pink orb, but she wouldn’t tell him what was inside the orb. Timmy and Harriet looked furiously through the grass, not seeing anything. Harriet suddenly stopped. ‘Did you find it?” Asked Timmy, hoping this craziness would come to an end.
Harriet just shook her head. “What’s the use. I’ll never find it, and the man in the silver helmet will come and take me because that STUPID dog will tell him where to find me. Thank god for short legs or he’d already have me.”
Timmy didn’t know what Harriet was going on about, but he didn’t like to see her crying, so he told her he would keep her safe. Harriet gave him a patronizing look, but quickly softened and gave him a kiss. Just then, they heard a motorcycle. “Ohnoohnoohno he’s HERE!” Shouted Harriet.
The man in the silver helmet got off of his bike, and started after Harriet. Timmy jumped in the way, but was easily pushed aside and knocked unconscious. The last thing Timmy saw before he fell asleep was a man in an orange hat running toward them.
When Timmy woke up, everyone was gone. Timmy knew he wouldn’t see Harriet in school the next day, if ever again. He put his headphones in to drown out the world, looked over his shoulder one more time, and headed home.
