Strangerazzi: Make out Champions of the 80’s

True story (I know, it’s been a while!).
last night I met some friends for 80’s dancing at Lola’s at the Crystal ballroom in Portland. I am car-free so I took over a booth immediately where I could put all my things (I went directly to the club from karate class, so I had a backpack full, and like two jackets).
When my friends arrived, we started dancing immediately, that’s what we were there for. We saw these two heading to our booth. My friend and I went over there, I moved some of our stuff off the table, and to the side where I had my bag and everything else. They then asked if they could sit there. Of course I said yes, we were dancing! Plus, if people were sitting at our table, OTHER people were much less likely to steal my things.
A friend said “What are they going to do, just sit there and make out?” Then we noticed that yes, that was exactly what they were doing.
They made out in our booth for at least an hour. I’d go over there sometimes to check for texts and have some more water, they’d stop making out and smile at me.
Eventually they got up and left. They were gone for maybe twenty minutes, and when I looked back over there they were standing in front of the booth making out.
I have to wonder why two adults need to go somewhere else, somewhere loud to make out with one another. Theories?
