Strange outside of Unity

Is it possible/reasonable to try using Strange outside of Unity?  I got from the documentation that this should be possible, but in (very briefly) looking at the code, I see a lot of dependency on MonoBehavior.  Thoughts?

Specifically, I'm looking at the binding and signaling features.

There shouldn't be too much trouble getting this to work. We kept the dependencies to a minimum, I think. Been a while since I've answered this question, but my answer has always been that it would be easy. A few studios did this successfully, so I know it can be done.
