It sounded from what Eric was telling me after last night's Dave
Carter Tribute show at Johnny D's that he will be playing with Chris
Thompson Lively when she does a co-bill with Carl Cacho at the Vanilla
Bean in Pomfret Saturday Aug. 23.
Chris and Eric had a great musical groove thing going on between the
two of them last night, especially on "I Go Like the Raven." That
Vanilla Bean collaboration sounds like a fun show.
I'll be missing that show again this year, after seeing it in '05 and
'06, because we'll be taking Stephen back to college in Chicago that
week, same as we did last year.
Chris and Eric both surprised me -- Chris at Lancaster in '05 and Eric
coming out of nowhere to play impromptu with the Strangelings at the
GFP in '07. And now to see them playing together -- it's one surprise
after another!
