STPS Board Election Procedures for December 2012
An earlier Flipper Flash discussed the upcoming STPS Board Elections.
The STPS by-laws require that the annual meeting of the Corporation be
held in Brevard County in December. This year the meeting is Saturday
December 8th at the Melbourne Beach Community Center. As we did last
year, the election ballots will be included in the November edition of
the STPS Newsletter, scheduled to be mailed on 11/1/2012.
Since we use BULK MAIL to send out the newsletter, occasionally copies
can get lost in the mail. If you do not receive your ballot please
email (
ST...@seaturtlespacecoast.org) or call
(321-676-1701) the STPS
Sea Turtle House and we will mail one to you.
This year we have four open positions. If you are interested in
running for one of these positions you need to submit a brief resume
(2-3 paragraph description) of why you are interested, what you offer
to the board, how you view the position and of course your
background. Please try to keep it brief in that we intend to publish
the resumes in the November newsletter as part of the elections ballot
process. All resumes must be received by STPS by October 15th. Submit
them to the STPS Turtle House via one of the methods listed below:
STPS FAX
321-725-6998
STPS Email :

STPS Regular Mail: PO BOX 510988, Melbourne Beach, FL 32951
As of this date we have identified four candidates: Debby Livingston,
Mark Petrillo, Aaron Simonton and Brad (BJ) Varuska.
The slate of candidates and their resumes will be published in the
November newsletter. The newsletter will contain the official ballot
with instructions for returning it to STPS.
All ballots must be postmarked no later than December 1st.
