Here is the latest news from STPS
TurtleKrawl was a huge success and thanks go out to volunteers,
sponsors and of course that great team of Turtle Krawl participants.
Several STPS positions on the board of directors are open with
elections in December. Please watch the website to learn how to vote
in November. Great things are happening with STPS and your interest
in our leadership is important. There will be more Flipper Flashes
about the voting procedures.
General Meeting
On October 4, George Geletko will be our guest speaker. George works
for Waste Management and is going to talk about recycling plastics and
the effect this has had on our environment, particularly our marine
animals. His slideshow will inform us about the comprehensive
programs that are currently in place for recycling plastics.
All meetings will be held at the Melbourne Beach Community Center
unless otherwise noted. The doors will open at 7:00 PM with light
refreshments and the meeting will begin at 7:30 PM unless otherwise
noted. Lets support our guest.
