The Mayor's office is actively recruiting for several city committees,
and it would certainly be advantageous for the dog park cause if some
of you were willing to apply.
There are three committees of interest:
1) The Planning Commission (small stipend for serving):

2) Capital Improvement Budget (CIB) Committee. Most directly relevant
to us. We put in a request for CIB consideration this past spring and
it was summarily rejected by the present committee.

3) Neighborhood STAR Board (Wards 1, 4, 5, & 7). Awards loans and
grants from monies generated by 1/2 cent sales tax.

If you are willing to apply, it should be because you have a broad
interest in the committee's jurisdiction; but at the same time, I
would hope you will not forget your interest in getting more dog parks
for the city of ST. Paul.
