We need your help – and it won’t take more than 2 minutes.
A new 8.5 acre dog park has been proposed for Lilydale Regional Park,
and it will go to the City Council for approval on October 21.
We know there will be opposition at the public hearing, and I think we
will be able to respond effectively.
However, it is crucial that the Council understand there is wide
spread community support for more dog parks.
WE NEED YOU TO SEND AN EMAIL………… OR MAKE A PHONE CALL.
This is the way they know which way the wind is blowing on
controversial issues, and they actually keep track of the number of
emails and phone calls they receive.

IF YOU ARE NOT A ST. PAUL RESIDENT…………………
Write to Kathy Lantry (Council President), with a copy to Dave Thune
(his ward includes Lilydale, and he has been a strong supporter from
the beginning).
WHAT TO SAY…………………
Say whatever you want about dog parks and what they mean to you, but
ask their support for the off-leash area that is included in the
Master Plan for Lilydale Regional Park.
PLEASE DON'T IGNORE THIS............emails really do matter.
A lot of people have devoted a lot of effort to bringing this proposal
for a new dog park to this point. But now, whether it is approved
will depend on how many dog owners step up to the plate to say they
really do want this kind of amenity included in the parks system.
Many thanks.................. and let me know if you have any
questions.
