Ramsey County to form dog park committee

Ramsey County Parks & Rec agreed this past week to form a county-wide
advisory committee on dog parks.

This should have been done a long time ago.

No decisions have been made on what the mission of this committee
should be, how it should be organized, or how committee members should
be selected.

Given their poor track record in user relations, they are now anxious
to mend fences, and are very amenable to suggestions on all these
matters.

We have set up this new Google discussion group as a vehicle to
encourage everyone in the user community to participate in the
preliminary discussions:

Since Battle Creek has the biggest user base of any of the four dog
parks in Ramsey County, it is especially important that regular users
of BC join this new group so you can contribute your thoughts and
more generally, stay in touch with developments.

Within the next month or two, the County will be taking applications
for the new committee.
