Hi,
St. Kate's is having a neighborhood meeting tonight (June 23) at 6:45
p.m. (Sorry for late notice).
The agenda includes off leash dogs and their waste which is a huge
issue on campus. There has been a recommendation to the administration
to close the campus to all dogs, leashed or otherwise.
Too many dog owners are not picking up the poop.
If you are a nearby resident and walk your dog on campus you'll want
to make your way to this meeting.
This year was especially bad with all the snow, but even so, each year
the students have to clean up the fields before they can practice or
play.
Also, owners are allowing dogs to poop in the playground area of the
Early Childhood Center.
I like to walk my dogs on campus and I always pick up after them.
I'm worried this could make it more difficult to get any dog parks
added to St. Paul. They've got photographic evidence of the amount of
poop left by people who are not picking up.
Sorry to be late in posting this but I didn't think of it until today.
I forgot we have this list to reach out to St. Paul people with dogs.
I know some of you live in Highland and Mac/Grove
In case you didn't see it, an add was run in the Villager as well as a
mailing to (very) nearby homes.
Hope you can make it.
