Have a voice in Stowe's Town Plan Update

Hello all,

 Tom Jackman, Stowe's Town Planner, reached out to Stowe CAN for input on the Town Plan update.  We would love to be able to provide feedback to the planning commission, if you haven’t already.

There is a group of students interested in seeing the high school put PV solar on the roof – and both the towns of Waitsfield and Warren are moving ahead with installing solar PV to cover their municipal loads.  Wouldn’t we love to see Stowe take this step as well!  See http://www.valleyreporter.com/index.php/en/news/news/9854-waitsfield-and-warren-voters-approve-solar-arrays for the article explaining why these towns are investing in their energy future (saving money and reducing their carbon footprint).  Let’s get many voices on this.  I’ve asked Tom if he has a a sense of whether there would be interest in discussing solar for the town, and if so, who the people would be to discuss with (Charles, Selectboard, Planning Commission).  His suggestion was “The first step would be to suggest a policy and/or implementation task to put in the TP. That’ll get the conversation going.”
