SAPCrystal Reports Designer is a powerful, graphics-oriented reporting program that allows users to customize their graphical forms. SAP Crystal Reports Designer is fully integrated with Sage 100. Sage 100 provides a number of customizable SAP Crystal Reports forms as part of the standard installation.
The Workstation Setup program for Sage 100 installs the standard SAP Crystal Reports Run-Time Engine on each workstation, which allows all users to view and print reports created through SAP Crystal Reports; however, to modify the standard forms included with Sage 100, or to create your own reports, you must install the SAP Crystal Reports Designer.
To modify reports in Sage 100 Premium using SAP Crystal Reports Designer, you must either be logged on using a Windows account that has read access to the applicable SQL Server database, or you must have a separate SQL Server authenticated logon ID and password.
Integrated Security is used by default; if your Windows account does not have rights to the database, a logon dialog box appears, allowing you to enter a different logon ID and password for database access.
In addition to using SAP Crystal Reports Designer to modify reports, you can also modify the reports through the operating system by setting up an OLE DB (ADO) connection to the SQL Server database. Only modifications such as moving items around on the report, changing font information, and hiding or showing information already in the database is supported.
Verify that the company selected has the appropriate modules installed. For example, do not convert Bill of Materials reports for demo company code ABC. Those modules do not exist in company ABC, and the conversion will not complete for those reports.
You can select individual or multiple reports within the listing to convert. Select the report, or press CTRL to make multiple selections. Click Select All to convert all reports within the listing. Click Clear to clear the listing. To complete the conversion, click Next.
If a field name used within the report or form no longer exists in the data source, it will be noted on the listing and removed from the report or form. If the removed field is contained in a formula, an SAP Crystal Reports error in printing message will appear when printing.
If the conversion wizard cannot convert that report, the report must be manually converted. If errors are encountered during the conversion, the wizard will skip the report and continue with the next selected report.
First, let me say, we are a long time Sage user. Started with Mas90 back in the mid 90's. I'm really tired of the way Sage has handled their accounts. This newest issue is so annoying. Each year end we run vendor labels for files. I just find the custom report I made years ago using Crystal Report Designer. I usually double click on it, it opens up designer, and I just refresh to this years data, and we're done. This year, nothing happens. The association from .rpt files to CR is gone. So I call SAGE, and their phone system basically says "Hi, we're too big for our britches and are too busy. Use online chat or the sage city forums..... Goodbye" Ok it didn't say that word for word, but that's what I interpreted. So I get on Chat, and the guy says "looks like you don't have CR as part of your bundle". Well, we have had Crystal Reports as part of our bundle for the last 20 years! But I guess this is now something different, that you have to buy CR just like now Payroll is something we have to buy different?
Is this different than the folder \Crystal Reports 2011 for sage\ ? The chat support person was having me run the setup.exe under that folder, but when I click on it, nothing happens at all. Tried as administrator, lowered my UAC to 0. Nothing. That's when they said "Oh, looks like it's not part of your bundle". So where would I find the server install files? We use it as a stand alone program on 1 workstation.
For information on installing Crystal Reports Designer, you can read the full Knowledgebase article # 20437 on our Sage Portal for details but below is the summary of installation process for Crystal Reports Designer.
Note: Only one version of Crystal Reports should be installed on a workstation. If one version is currently installed, and another version is subsequently installed, some of the files laid down by the previous installation will be overwritten by the most recent installation (even if the most subsequent installation is of a previous version). This may cause error messages or problems when attempting to create, modify, or print Crystal forms or reports.
The Workstation Setup client installation for Sage 100 will install a runtime version of Crystal Reports that allows for print or preview of forms and reports.

Also if you have an active support subscription with Sage, they should be able to assist you. I suspect something along the lines of the application not getting information on that column on those two reports.
I work with crystal in viewpoint vista. When you see the multiple connections one of them should have a plug icon. If not, verify database and check it again. I always do this before adding another view to a report. This way the report only uses one connection to the database.
Good luck.
"This is Darrell Scott. The knowledge tip for today is accessing Sage 100 forums with Crystal Reports. Sage 100 forums are printed documents that did not show up in the Reports menu; we will address accessing Sage 100 reports in another video.
In this example, we will access the AR invoice by going to the print process, selecting a batch, click proceed. Here we are looking at the AR invoice printing dialog. Notice that there is one form code currently defined. Our recommendation is to not ever modify the standard form code, but instead type a name, select a paper style, and use this form code as your modified version and leave the standard alone.
Once you have identified your form code to use in the upper right corner is the designer button, which is how you access this report with Crystal Reports. If the designer button is not visible on your screen, there are two reasons why that might happen. First, security may be set so that you do not have access to the Crystal Designer. And second, you may not have Crystal Reports installed on your machine. Crystal Reports must be installed on each computer where Crystal Reports are going to be modified.
Click the designer button to launch Crystal Reports, and here we have accessing Crystal Reports to modify our test copy of the standard AR invoice report. Once you make your changes, return to the printing dialog to preview and print your report. Notice that we do now have a standard and test version of the crystal report.
