Welcome Letter

Yesterday my computer crashed 3 time. I had intended to compose some parts for the Welcome letter. I got it working this morning but saw no new entries at the time. I am now at another location, but remote access to my computer is not now available, storms may have shut them down.

I am coming in from my basic Comcast account rather than my Thunderbird. I notice that Lion had responded in length to my reply to his first draft - but I saw that just now in the archive - for some reason it never came as an individual email.

I agree that most tech info should not be in the Welcome Letter - but it should include a very brief mention of the blogs, for those who might prefer them and not be interested in the listserv - but tech info for blog facility would be in the listserv.

I am considering a way to involve early responders (and some that are already there) in backing up the welcome letter with some personal contact.

My computer is still giving me trouble. This is a test for me to reply
from the listserv archive - Lion, your advice worked - thanks. What is
happening with the Invitation? Can I do something to help? I received
the msg from Cheryl that invited others to the blogs, but no mention
of the listserv. Larry
