Hi all,
We recently had a long power block out. The battery on the alarm panel started to drain and got the low battery warning via sms. The alarm panel says "system trouble" low battery. Can't clear this error. Don't think it is possible that battery is still low.

Have replaced the battery and still have the same fault after 24hrs. Checked both old and new battery with multimeter and have good voltage 13.4. Ran a battery test on the panel and it instantly said it was OK and confirmed battery voltage of 13.4v

Are you sure you didn't pull the battery terminals a little too hard when you changed the battery? Might be that they have been tugged off the control block? Check the screw terminals. I think they are on the left hand side of the CPU board. See if they look well connected.

There's not much more between the battery and the CPU to check. It's straight onto the mobo. I'm not sure why you are seeing the temperature alert either as the nominal value should range up to around 40 from memory.

I'd be careful doing this as it will clear all configuration, including all called numbers, codes, segment, zones, etc. The OP would unlikely be able to set the device up again to work. You would want to retrieve the actual current details before you attempt a reset to make sure it could be put back into the same condition after the reset.

At this point I'd be calling a Bosch capable tech to review/repair. The 6000 (Solution 144) is a very good unit. If you go down this path, also look at upgrading to Internet based (LAN card) to allow additional debugging/control.

Bosch 6000 alarm systems are the ideal security solution for larger homes and businesses as provide security for up to 144 individual zones and 265 users. For ultimate protection, Bosch 600 has built-in diallers to connect to your phoneline, giving you peace of mind all day long.

Power Missing - This trouble message will display when the AC mains power supply to the panel is disconnected or failed and will clear when the power is reconnected. The Mains Power Icon in the keypad will also flash when the power is missing.

Box Tamper - The control panel has detected that the tamper circuit on the LAN power supply module is faulted. Place a shunt across the tamper input pins or close the tamper circuit to clear the box tamper trouble condition.

Temperature Alert - The control panel has detected that the console (eg. keypad, LAN reader, or fingerprint reader) has exceeded the global temperature high or temperature low settings.

Comms Fail Route 1 - This trouble message will display if the panel has failed to send pending reports to Destination 1. All possible call attempts will be made before the trouble message is displayed.

Comms Fail Route 2 - This trouble message will display if the panel has failed to send pending reports to Destination 2. All possible call attempts will be made before the trouble message is displayed.

Comms Fail Route 3 - This trouble message will display if the panel has failed to send pending reports to Destination 3 (Email). All possible call attempts will be made before the trouble message is displayed.

Default PIN Trble - This trouble message will display if the panel detects that either the Installer PIN or User 1 PIN is still set to the factory default PIN. Change the PIN to clear the fault.

Telco Line Fail -This trouble message will display if the panel detects that the telephone line has failed or been disconnected for a minimum of 30 seconds. The trouble will clear once the line has been restored for at least 1 minute.

Memory Checksum - This occurs if the memory checksum is corrupted. To try and correct this, enter programming mode and make a programming change like a user name then exit programming mode. If this problem still persists you must do a full system default.

This menu allows you to review the last 1000 recorded history events on your system. The information for each event may be displayed over a number of pages or screens depending on the actual event recorded.

When you enter this menu the system will show you the most recent event first. Once the log reaches the maximum event capacity each new event will replace the oldest event in the log in a first-in-first-out fashion.

To move from one log event to the next, use the up and down keys or if you know the event number you are looking for simply enter the number followed by the [OK] key and the system will display that event.

A left [] arrow may be displayed at the end of the first line on each log screen. These indicate that the history log contains more than one page for the current event. To view these pages use the left and right keys.

Integrated Access Control Access control is no longer reserved only for larger, more expensive systems. Proximity technology from Bosch provides an affordable and effective solution for up to 16 access doors. The new LAN readers include egress and lock control built in, which reduces cost and simplifies installation.

The control panel communicates with other system module devices via the built in RS485 LAN or Local Area Network. For increased security, the system uses antisubstitution technology and a proprietary data encryption algorithm to communicate with all LAN modules. When using the recommended cable types, the LAN can be up to 1200 meters in length, or even greater when LAN isolators are used.

Chime mode allows monitoring a zone or group of zones by sounding the keypad buzzer or activating a programmable output. This feature is ideal to monitor business entry doors for customer entry during business hours.

CID, SIA, DOMESTIC and GSM-SMS Text Reporting formats are all standard out of the box and the dual reporting feature allows you to select which reports are sent to which route and in what format. Open / Close reporting can be selected individually for each user and area on the panel allowing the owner to monitor cleaner access, children returning home from school or access to a particular restricted area all via their mobile phone. Interactive voice reporting is also available as an option.

Setting this option will prevent any system trouble events from sounding the code pad speaker between the hours of 10pm until 7am. During this time, any new trouble event will be shown in the code pad display. If trouble events are still in effect after 7am the code pad will begin to sound the trouble alert to notify the user. This function is ideal for all residential applications.

The control panel stores up to 2000 events from all areas. All events are recorded in the log regardless of the reporting setting. The event log may be viewed via the code pad or via a direct or remote connection from the Solution Link programming software.

As with all code pads in the range they can be used with or without the hinged door to meet customer taste or requirements. Illuminated rubber keys allow for easy identification and operation in ambient light conditions and provide a positive feel to the user. Red and Green indicators are provided to easily identify the Armed and Disarmed modes of operation from a distance and the in-built sounder provides audible feedback via polyphonic-like signalling tones during system operation. The sounder volume is programmable and it also emits a sire sound during alarm conditions.

The CP701 and CP711 enhanced code pad includes a built-in proximity reader so that the user can simply present a token at the code pad to arm and disarm the system, eliminating the need to remember PIN numbers.

One of the most comprehensive displays available, the large back lit LCD display incorporates the latest pixel technology which graphically identifies all system conditions at a glance. Variable font sizes are used depending on the situation with important information being displayed in a large bold font, while up to 4 lines of text can be displayed when more information is required. At all times the user is prompted in alphanumeric text clearly identifying the current operating mode, enhancing feedback for trouble-free and simple operation. All system programmable features and options are displayed in full text on the code pad, allowing the system to be programmed and configured without referring to the manual.
