StevenGross, French horn, Pascal Salomon, piano, plus the Maurice Faulkner Brass Trio, Horn Ensemble, trumpet, and trombone, will present a concert featuring delightful works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Reinhold Glire, James Naigus, Vclav Nelhybel, Francis Poulenc, Camille Saint-Sans, Robert Schumann, and Lowell Shaw.

Max Dei Rossi, French horn, is a senior Music Studies and Computer Science double major. He is in charge of, and arranges music for, the UCSB Pops Orchestra, and performs in numerous departmental ensembles.


Connor Hahn, French horn, is a freshman Performance major. He has played horn for 7 years and his current activities include performing in the UCSB Chamber Orchestra, Horn Ensemble, and Nues Scholarship Wind Quintet.


Annie Hargis, French horn, is a sophomore Feminist Studies major and has been playing French horn since junior high school. She has performed in various ensembles, from horn quartets and wind ensembles to marching bands.


Pablo Juan Hernandez, French horn and trumpet, is a sophomore French Horn Performance major, and has studied music since the seventh grade. He is also interested in jazz and Mexican music.


Robin Kolankarai, French horn, is from Plano, Texas and is currently a UCSB freshman Biopsychology major. Robin loves playing horn, is very passionate about music, and has played French horn for seven years.


Landon Parcel, trumpet, is a UCSB Performance major who has been playing trumpet for seven years. Currently in the Maurice Faulkner Brass Trio, he has performed in a wide variety of musical ensembles, including honor bands.


Allison Rigler, tenor and bass trombone, is currently studying music and linguistics at UCSB. She began playing trombone at a young age and has performed in a variety of ensembles, including the UCSB Chamber Players.


Steven Gross, French horn, is UCSB Professor of Horn and Head of the Wind, Brass, and Percussion Area. His renowned concert and teaching career worldwide has featured solo and ensemble performances in Europe, China, Russia, East Africa, and the U.S., as well as positions with distinguished symphony orchestras, including 24 years as Principal Horn of the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra. Pascal Salomon, piano, was born in Israel, grew up in France, and has concertized as recitalist, concerto soloist, and chamber music pianist in Europe, Israel, China, and the U.S. He has been featured soloist with prominent European orchestras, and has recorded three solo and chamber music CDs. A dedicated teacher, Dr. Salomon taught piano for 9 years at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genve, Switzerland, and has served as collaborative piano faculty member at Westmont College.
