Subject: Percentage of CSO Cities Using SWMM
I'm giving a short briefing to EPA's Asst. Administrator for Water next
week on our stormwater modeling tools and I'd like to make a statement
on how frequently SWMM (in all of its many forms - EPA, PC, Info, MIKE,
XP, etc) is used for H & H modeling by cities developing long-term CSO
control plans. Is it 25% of all such cities, 50%, or what. The sample
size of CSO cities whose models I know about is quite small, so I
thought one of you could come up with a more credible number than I
could. I just need a rough estimate (not a list of cities) and you can
back channel your response if you'd like. Thanks.
BTW, I will be mentioning that the number of downloads of EPA SWMM 5
averages about 2,000 per month.
