Hi,

I would like to clarify one doubt related to storm's dependency on zookeeper. We see that with most of the major releases of storm, the zookeeper jar gets upgraded. Storm 0.7.x series was using zookeeper 3.3.3 version. Storm 0.8.0 is using zookeeper 3.4.2 version. So I think with each major release of storm we are supposed to upgrade zookeeper as well. Please correct me if I am wrong.

We are also trying to use NoSQL databases which uses zookeeper. So do you recommend us to use two different versions of zookeeper for the same?

Thanks,
Richards Peter.

Hi,

Also would you suggest us to maintain an independent zookeeper cluster each for storm and NoSQL database. We could see performance difference when we maintained them independently.

Thanks,
Richards Peter.

Those Zookeeper libs should be backwards compatible with prior Zookeeper server versions, so you shouldn't have to upgrade your ZK cluster.

I think you can use the same ZK cluster for both Storm and your NoSQL database. What performance different did you see?
