Storm runs incredibly slowly in Oracle 1.7 update 5

Hi,

I had to upgrade to JDK 1.7 in order to battle through a compile error I found with jzmq, besides, I wanted to work with the latest JDK.

However, running Storm (in particular, unit tests), results in slower startup times by 1 minute than when I run Storm using JDK 1.6.

Can you please advise which JDK you recommend for Storm development and Storm production use?

We run on 1.6. Is it just the startup time that's slow or is it slow at steady state too?

I'd be curious to know what you find out if you dig into it / profile more.
