HEC-HMS - Adjust Model Run Time

Hi

I hope you're doing great. I am running a large catchment model (1600km^2) with a relatively high Tc. Running the storms through the generator it seems that the automatic model time run is not long enough to capture the peak of the storms. Is there any way of increasing the run time across the durations.

Hi Colin,

 

You could try increasing the ‘Min Dur (hrs)’ field in the Routing Increments panel to better represent the amount of time required to capture the peak and recession limb. You would need to re-do Steps 5 onward after making this change.
