IFD download via Internet Explorer

Hi CSSE,

Our IT have blocked Internet Explorer due to security concerns. It appears the Data Hub and IFD download scripts access the data via IE. Is it possible for CSim to download via Edge or other method? We are doing manual downloads for the time being.

Hi Nick,

 

I am sorry to hear that as I know the manual downloads will mean extra work and I don’t have a solution for this yet.

 

The other browser options such as Edge present some technical and deployment challenges that have put me off so far. However, I will need to tackle this going forward and I may get in touch once I have another option for you to try.

 

I’m not sure if IT can whitelist certain sites for IE (bom, datahub etc) in the interim but I imagine that’s a lot to ask for.

Thanks Chris,

We're seeking an in-house solution as you suggest. Whatever the outcome, it's probably something you'll need to address as IE phases out. Happy to test any solutions you come up with.
